The Lokahi Adopt-A-Family Program
is a unique program sponsored by KHON2 and works with over 200 non-profits and social service agencies, shelters, group homes, and hospitals to identify families and individuals needing help. When you choose to adopt one or more of these families, you'll receive the family members' first names, ages, special needs and their Christmas wishes, a brief description of their challenges and how you can help.

Other ways to support Lokahi
To participate with Lokahi in ways other than Adopt-A-Family, you can conduct a drive for particular items or coordinate a fund raiser and choose what need the proceeds should address.

You can adopt a group instead of a family. These are usually non-related individuals that live together in a group home or shelter. They can be seniors, folks with mental or physical disabilities or at-risk teens and children.

Or you can provide an opportunity for a Special Event by creating your own, i.e. Christmas party or providing tickets for activities (movies, Water Park, etc.) or events like ballet, concerts, or sporting events.
